Rev. Ben Wills has been the pastor at Lewis Memorial UMC since July 2022 and feels blessed to serve such a wonderful church community. A Georgia native, he’s a proud UGA graduate (Go Dawgs!) with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in vocal performance and religion. His journey in ministry has taken him from youth ministry to seminary at Candler School of Theology at Emory, to serving churches in Washington, Monroe, and LaGrange before coming to Columbia County.
Ben and his wife, Sammi, are proud parents of Reid (born October 2021) and Riley (born January 2025). Reid keeps them on their toes, and they’re excited to watch Riley grow into the mix! When he’s not at church, you’ll likely find Ben golfing, singing, watching sports, or spending time with family—including their miniature dachshund, Copper.
Ben is passionate about creating a welcoming and thriving church where people can grow in faith and community. He’s excited about what God is doing at Lewis Memorial UMC and looks forward to the journey ahead!
