Director of Music Ministries
Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church is seeking a passionate and skilled Director of Music Ministries to lead and enrich our worship through music. This part-time position plays a vital role in shaping meaningful and engaging worship experiences, working closely with the Senior Pastor, worship planning teams, and volunteer musicians.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead music for Sunday Sanctuary worship services and special services (Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Christmas Eve, etc.).
-Provide piano and/or organ accompaniment for all Sanctuary worship services.
-Collaborate with the worship planning team to select and prepare music that aligns with service themes.
-Organize and rehearse vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensembles to enhance worship.
-Encourage musical diversity by incorporating a variety of instruments and engaging local musicians.
-Oversee the preparation of lyric presentations and coordinate with A/V staff.
-Assist with occasional children’s musical offerings in collaboration with ministry staff.
-Steward the music ministry budget and resources responsibly.
Qualifications:
-A spiritually mature and dedicated Christian with a love for worship and music ministry.
-Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop volunteer musicians.
-Proficiency in piano; ability to play the pipe organ is a plus.
-Ability to sight-read, improvise, transpose hymns, and accompany soloists and ensembles.
-A Bachelor’s Degree in music, worship arts, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
Additional Information:
-This part-time role requires an estimated 12 hours per week.
-Annual salary: $15,000 – $20,000, based on experience. Attendance at staff meetings, worship planning meetings, and other relevant team meetings is expected.
-Safe Sanctuaries certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
-Continuing education is encouraged and supported.

Communications Specialist
Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church is seeking a motivated Communications Specialist who will work in collaboration with ministry leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy. This part-time position plays a vital role in shaping robust marketing/communications for public relations and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
-Leads efforts to design all art and promotional materials related to church-wide activities with a high standard of creativity, excellence, and effectiveness.
-Actively develops, promotes, and communicates church-wide events and activities through digital and print materials.
-Administers and develops content for the church’s social media presence.
-Develops and updates website content to ensure that new and consistent information is posted regularly.
-Administers and coordinates all external media communications.
-Edits worship, sermon, and promotional videos and uploads them to designated platforms.
-Builds upon current branding and helps establish a brand identity within our community
Qualifications:
-Two-year degree or equivalence of experience in marketing or public relations preferred.
-Social Media, Website Maintenance, and Graphic Design skills required. Experience with Canva, Squarespace, ProPresenter, Resi, and Google Workspace a plus.
Additional Information
-This part-time position requires an estimated fifteen (15) hours per week.
-Annual salary: $15,000. Attendance at some evening/weekend meetings is expected.
-Safe Sanctuaries certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.

Administrative Assistant
Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to work as an Administrative Assistant. This part-time position plays a vital role in managing daily administrative tasks and supporting the church’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform General Office Duties and Administrative Support, which involves managing correspondence, scheduling, data entry, printing, filing, and assisting team operations efficiently.
-Assist in Management of Church Database by updating member information, ensuring accuracy, organizing data, and maintaining confidentiality and security. It also includes generating reports requested by Ministry Team Leads.
-Assist in the Management of Church Documents by organizing digital files, setting access permissions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining security and version control.
-Take meeting minutes for Leadership Teams by recording key discussions, decisions, action items, and deadlines to ensure effective leadership communication.
-Recruits and trains church volunteers as necessary to assist with administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
-High School diploma.
-Familiarity with various computer systems, including but not limited to, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of Office Equipment (printers, copiers, scanners)
-Accuracy in data entry and proofreading.
-Knowledge of standard or general office responsibilities, systems, and procedures.
-Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
-Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant preferred

-Annual salary: $10,000. Attendance at some evening/weekend meetings is expected
