Get ready for a night of Christmas fun and fellowship! Join us on December 15 for our Student Christmas Party at Evans Towne Center Park. We'll enjoy the beautiful holiday lights, ice skating, and dinner together. Bring $25.00 and meet at the youth building at 5 PM to carpool. Don’t miss this exciting evening to celebrate the season with friends!

Join us for a magical Storytime with Santa, where children of all ages and their families can experience the joy of the holiday season. Pose for pictures, get creative at our craft stations, enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate and gather around as Santa himself reads beloved Christmas tales. We look forward to seeing you at the Marvin United Methodist Church’s gym, December 14 from 10am-1pm for this heartwarming event. 

We invite you to join us in celebrating the birth of our Savior on December 12, 2024. The program will feature special music by The Garden City Chorus, a delightful barber shop group singing holiday favorites.

Our scrumptious meal includes ham, pineapple casserole, macaroni and cheese, butter beans, roasted vegetables, delicious dessert, and beverages.

Following the meal, everyone is welcome to join in a fun game of bingo! The event costs $10, and if you require financial assistance, please reach out to Cindy Vinson.

Rise Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization, provides immediate nourishment for those facing hunger today in 37 countries and implements sustainable solutions that will lift entire communities for years to come. And “it starts with a meal.”

You, your family, and your friends are invited to an early evening Meal Packaging event at Lewis to assemble 10,000 meal kits for shipment. We’ll start the evening with pizza in the fellowship hall.  Childcare services will be available after dinner with reservations.

Our next Young At Heart gathering for adults 55+ will be on Thursday, October 10 at 11 am in the Fellowship Hall. We'll enjoy a devotion, a hymn sing, engaging speakers on local and international missions, and a delicious meal, followed by a lively game of Bingo! Cost is $10 per person. Menu: BBQ buns, baked beans, coleslaw, potato chips, dessert, and a beverage. Register below by October 6.

We invite all men to join us for a time of fellowship, food, and faith at our Men's Breakfast and Bible Study. This is a great opportunity to connect with one another, share stories, and grow deeper in your walk with Christ. Whether you're looking for spiritual encouragement, meaningful conversation, or simply a good meal, this gathering is for you. Come as you are, and let’s strengthen our community and relationship with God together!

The first YAH (age 55 and over) gathering will be on September 12 at 11 am in the Fellowship Hall. We will be celebrating 45 years of ministry. Cost is $10 per person. Menu: Catered by Dye's: Fried Fish or Chicken, Hush Puppies, French Fries, Cole Slaw, Beverage, and dessert. Register below by September 8th.

All volunteers working with youth, children, and vulnerable adults are required to receive Safe Sanctuaries training so that we can best protect others and reduce the risk of abuse in the church. Our next training will be Sunday, September 1, from 11:00 am -12:00 pm in Room 403. Please register on Realm. A background check is required for the class with an $18 fee.

Following worship on Aug 18th we will have a pot-luck luncheon. Meat will be provided by the church. Families are asked to bring a dish to share with others. To help with planning, please sign up before/after worship or online. Consider bringing your favorite summer side dish (baked beans, mac & cheese, etc.), salad (potato salad, pasta salad, cole slaw, tossed salad, veggies, etc.) or a dessert. The luncheon is in conjunction with a Shepeard community blood drive, so take time to eat and donate.

We hope you make plans to join us for this time of fellowship, food, and devotion together as we continue to build community amongst the men of Lewis Memorial UMC and Marvin UMC. We hope to see you there!

Join us for a Spaghetti Dinner to support the Mission of Sharon and Graham Nichols in Ecuador. Sharon’s famous cobblers will be available too! There is no set cost, but donations will be accepted. please register here by August 9th so Sharon knows how much food to prepare.

Join us for a special day of worship on Sunday, August 4th, as we celebrate the return to school! Children and youth bring your backpacks to be blessed during worship. All are invited to enjoy a sweet treat from the Blue Skies Ice Cream trailer following worship.

We have reserved the Lawn Ace Lounge for the 6:30 pm game on August 3. The cost is $32 per person and includes your ticket as well as a 90-minute all-you-can-eat buffet. Seating is limited to 25 people, so register here or call/text Vicki Parker (706-833-1665) ASAP if interested. Spots are first come, first served.

Families and persons of all ages are invited to a night of ice cream and fun!  We will make ice cream sundaes, fellowship with others, and compete in an Escape Room-based game around Jesus’ parables. Bibles will be available for the game, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Nursery will be available for ages 0-4 during the game portion.

Registrations are not required but help us with planning.

Come show off your most appealing or appalling Hawaiian Shirt and compete to win a Meadows frozen custard gift card. The favorite will be decided by the congregation during worship.

Donate toward UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Hygiene Kits to be sent around the world to those in need on Sunday, June, 9th.
