Easter Worship and Holy Week 2025

  • Palm Sunday

    Join us for Palm Sunday

    Worship at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Our Children will lead us in a Palm Processional before going to Children’s Church

    The Palm Sunday Worship Service will be streamed at 10:00 a.m. at LewisUMC.org/livestream

    Nursery will be provided for infants - age 4.

  • Maundy Thursday

    Holy Communion Service

    Join us at the Blanchard Park pavilion (4541 Dewey Dr., Martinez, GA) at 6 pm for a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and Holy Communion. This service is a joint time of worship with Lewis Memorial and our sister church, Marvin United Methodist Church.

    Please be sure to bring a lawn chair for seating.

    Following the Maundy Thursday service, please plan to enjoy a free meal and a time of fellowship.

  • Scriptural Stations of the Cross

    Friday, April 18

    10:00 am to 6:30 pm

    Lewis Education Building

    Walk the path Jesus took from Gethsemane to the Cross to the Tomb by participating in a Scriptural Stations of the Cross.

    Each of the 14 stations provides a Gospel account of a specific event during His last day and a meditation on the sacrifice He made for us.

  • Good Friday

    Join Us For Our Good Friday Service

    "Seven Last Words of Christ" and Stripping of the Altar service in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. This service is a joint time of worship with Lewis Memorial and our sister church, Marvin United Methodist Church.

  • Easter Sunday

    Sunrise - 7:00 a.m. in the Historic Chapel

    Sanctuary Service - 10:00 a.m.

    Join Us In-Person and Online

    Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m. in the Historic Chapel. The Sunrise Service is in-person only, streaming of this service will not be available.

    Sanctuary Service at 10:00 a.m. streamed at LewisUMC.org/livestream.

    Nursery will be provided at the 10:00 a.m Easter Sunday Worship Service for infants - age 4.

Are kids welcome in worship?

Yes! All children are welcome to join their parents in any of our Holy Week Services

How early should I arrive?

15-20 minutes will give you plenty of time to do what you need to do and find a seat if you're checking in your child to childcare offered for ages 0-4.

Can I watch the service from home?

Yes, we will be streaming the 7:00 p.m. Good Friday service and our 10:00 a.m. Easter Sunday service. You can tune in by visiting www.lewisumc.org/livestream

What should I wear to an Easter service?

Guys, you’ll fit right in with jeans and a collared shirt, or if you’re more comfortable in a pair of khakis, a button-up, or even a jacket, that works too! Ladies, anything from jeans and a sweater to a nice spring dress will be perfect for our services.

What programming is available for my child?

Our Lewis Memorial Nursery (infant-4) will be available at the 10:00 a.m. Easter service. Children’s Church will take place on April 13 (Palm Sunday) and the children will be dismissed to their programming following the palm procession.
